January 31, 2013 Dear Wiregrass, Next Wednesday, the Boy Scouts of America executive board will vote on a proposal that could reverse 103 years of history. The question is whether or not the BSA will choose to be bullied by homosexual activism or will tighten its boot straps and vote to remain "morally straight." See: A PLEA TO SCOUTS: DON'T LET THE "BAD GUYS" WIN Tens of thousands of phone calls and emails have flooded the BSA National Council offices. Regardless of who they love... Oh, how sweet and understanding that sounds! The further we get from morality and truth, the sooner the destruction of our society will be upon us. Take religion out of it. Just argue the subject from right vs. wrong, privacy rights and freedom... I will take on that debate all day long! The Boy Scouts of America is a great organization because it is based on faith, goodness, morality, family, and character. The Boy Scouts of America has the absolute right to set its standards of expectations for their leaders to not only teach boys to live by these virtues, but to set the example. Homosexuals have formed many groups and clubs. They share nothing with the Boy Scouts of America. The inclusion of homosexuals into the leadership of the Boy Scouts of America has nothing to do with acceptance, tolerance or a focus of the homosexual community to adopt the practices of the Boy Scouts. It is about tearing apart the Boy Scouts.

Your message in your comment is so jumbled, I couldn't figure out at first if you were for or against gay leadership in the Scouts...but that last comment about THE GAYS trying to tear apart the Boy Scouts pretty well told me what side of the fence you're on. Unless THAT part of the message was what was jumbled. Might want to practice being more clear in stating your beliefs. Snarkasm doesn't go over well in writing if people don't know where you stand to begin with. So, going with the assumption that you think having gay leadership in the Boy Scouts is a negative thing, I'll make my response. Letting in "the gays" is so-called tearing apart the Boy Scouts and their good American values? I see you spouting some words that are at best incredibly ignorant and at worst downright hateful. Yet I see you saying not one word to actually back up your negativity. The burden of proof is on you, so PROVE that "the homo agenda" would ruin the Boy Scouts. Scholarly sources only, please--none of this fake fear bullcrap the media keeps spewing because it boosts their ratings.
