    Speaking off the cuff .. but as I recall (ten or so years ago) their chief was a part time employee that came on duty at 2 PM:
    Just how difficult a job could this be?

    Are you thinking of challenging me/ any others - for this Barney Fife dream job?

    My Momma didn't raise any fools. Over the years, I have seen 10-12 Chiefs bite the dust. Many years the "Chief" was the only full time Officer.

    That's my point, he can waltz in/out at will, cash his paycheck and then go fishing.
    Plus drive a city paid cruiser (including gas, maintenance, insurance).
    A dream job for many.
